Welcome to Chiddingstone Nursery School CIO

We are a long-established charity run pre-school, overseen by a volunteer Board of Trustees.
The nursery operates term time only for 38 weeks of the year. We take children from 2 and a half years to school age.
Based in a converted stable block within the grounds of Chiddingstone Castle, we have access to a courtyard, our own wellbeing garden, and the beautiful woodlands and grasslands that surround the castle.
Situated in the heart of Chiddingstone, we have strong links with the local primary school and play an active role within the community.
We work in partnership with parents to build strong relationships.
We value every child as an individual and are passionate about ensuring children remain at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children, and to fostering an environment that values equality and diversity.

Our Nursery
As part of our nursery ethos, we provide a relaxed, welcoming and enriching environment that supports each child's natural curiosity to explore, discover, learn and develop.

Well-Being Garden
Our Well-being Garden offers a peaceful space for children to explore and connect with nature. We grow our own produce, which is used in our cooking activities and snack times.

Natural Environment
In our woodland environment, children are encouraged to explore and appreciate the natural world, take managed risks, and develop a lifelong love of the outdoors.

Testimonial
“Leaving the most important thing to you in the world is always so hard, but everyone at Chiddingstone Nursery is so loving and kind that you can leave knowing your child is in the happiest friendliest place.”

Cooking Activities
Our weekly cooking activities offer a rich, multi-sensory learning experience. Cooking provides opportunities to explore science, math, language, cultural diversity, and healthy eating habits.
